Advocacy

How can I be an advocate?

I am sure you are asking yourself, “why become an advocate?” The best answer is to make a difference on behalf of others. We as physicians are in the unique position to do just that and with great success, if only we take that first step.

Yet, if you are asking yourself “what can I really accomplish?” please consider these words:

I am only one – But I am one.

I cannot do everything

but I can do something.

What I ought to do, I will do.

It is imperative to believe that one person can make a difference.

The members of ACOM challenge you to make that difference!

If you are interested in taking that first step and making a difference we would recommend that visit APA’s Advocacy Center brought to you by the APA Department of Government Relations.
