Psychiatric Services Achievement Awards
These awards have been presented annually since 1949 to innovative programs that deliver services to the mentally ill or disabled, have overcome obstacles, and can serve as models for other programs. Two Gold Award winners are selected – one from academically or institutionally sponsored programs and one from community-based programs. Each program receives a cash award and plaque. Second and third place programs also may be selected. Awards are presented at the Institute on Psychiatric Services, where program representatives also are invited to present a special workshop. Applications are invited in the spring.
