Behavioral Sciences Research Training in HIV Infection

Fellowship Description:

The Behavioral Sciences Research Training in HIV Infection training program provides intensive postdoctoral training in human sexuality research as applied to health, particularly HIV prevention and mental health. The program provides tuition support for a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. Through mentored research, seminars, lectures, and participation in HIV Center activities trainees develop professional skills necessary for the pursuit of careers as independent investigators.

UCLA Task Force Research Training in Psychoneuroimmunology

Fellowship Description:

Fellowship training program open to basic scientists interested in preparing for an academic research career in psychoneuroimmunology. Practical and didactic interdisciplinary training is provided in immunology, behavioral sciences and neurosciences, and in basic or clinical interdisciplinary research under preceptorship of one or more senior investigators. Fellows work on original research protocols of their own design in the field.

Neuropsychiatry Research Fellowship

Fellowship Description:

The Neuropsychiatry Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine provides training and supervision in Clinical and Research activities in Neuropsychiatry that is consistent with the guidelines established by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties (UNCS). The aim of the program is twofold: 1. to impart to Neuropsychiatry Fellows clinical competencies to assess and manage patients with neurologically-based behavioral and emotional problems, 2. to provide a basic understanding and competency to conduct clinical research in Neuropsychiatry. The program is flexible; fellows interested in either one or two years of fellowship can apply. Fellowship Title:

Training Program in Integrative Immunobiology

Fellowship Description:

Using a multidisiplinary approach that includes training in immunology, neuroscience, molecular biology, endocrinology, microbial pathogenesis, psychology, psychiatry, and/or pharmacology, predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees will study the cellular, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms by which immune homeostasis is influenced by the nervous and endocrine systems. Trainees will study the health consequences that result from dysregulation of these systems and observe, firsthand, the integration of laboratory research with behavior and health outcomes.
