The APA Caucus on Alternative and Complementary Medicine, also known as the Caucus on Integrative Medicine, is a special-interest group of psychiatrists interested in the integration of all treatments of psychiatric disorders. Integrative medicine is the practice of medicine that combines conventional medical treatments with non-conventional (“alternative” or “complementary”) ones.
Any APA member may join the Caucus on Alternative and Complementary Medicine by using their login to update their Member Profile. The caucus selection site can be found in Section 3, "Current Practice and Professional Activities", Part F. The Caucus meets in-person once a year at the APA Annual Meeting.
