The Association of Women Psychiatrists is pleased to announce its annual call for applications for the AWP Fellowship and the Alexandra and Martin Symonds Foundation Fellowship. The Association of Women Psychiatrists is a group of women focused on enhancing communication and interaction between women across the globe who are focused on advancing women’s health issues. These competitive fellowship programs allow us to recognize the best and the brightest up and coming leaders within our field and provide them with mentoring and support in their early career.
Two outstanding women psychiatric residents will be selected for these Fellowship Programs. Candidates will be selected based on a demonstrated leadership potential, interest in and commitment to women’s health, community mental health service, and academic excellence. The recipients will receive a $1,500 stipend each and will be expected to attend the AWP Meeting held at the APA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia in May 2012. Applications should be submitted as a single PDF. The application deadline is February 15, 2012.
