Fellowship Description:

A two- to three-year fellowship focusing on the skills necessary to become a full-time academic researcher in psychiatry. The training includes an intensive, supervised research experience with a mentor and didactic courses in statistics, research design, research techniques, and practical issues in clinical research.

Fellowship Title:

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Eating Disorders

Fellowship Description:

A two-year interdisciplinary fellowship designed for MD and PhD postdoctoral trainees with experience or interest in the field of eating disorders. Fellowships are restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Under the leadership of a mentorship team including research faculty and clinical advisors, the fellowship provides hands-on experience in all phases of research, including: 1) the formulation of clear and testable research questions; 2) the design of appropriate research plans using effective and carefully chosen methodologies; 3) development of institutional review board proposals; 4) the collection and management of data; 5) the analysis, interpretation and clear presentation of results; and, 6) effective manuscript and grant writing. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary and translational research and is ideal for emerging scientist-practitioners.
