“Co-Occurring Disorders: No Longer Double Jeopardy – A Call to Action for Prevention and Recovery in Diverse Populations in Los Angeles”
OMNA on Tour – Los Angeles was a successful program with nearly 200 people in attendance on July 22 at the California Endowment. It was a memorable daylong event, ending with an after-hours dinner at NAMI Urban Los Angeles and a book signing by keynote speaker, Carl Bell, M.D. of Chicago at Eso-won bookstore. The program was held in conjunction with Bebe Moore Campbell Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.
Program evaluations are proof the program’s success. Seventy-four percent of the 133 people who completed program evaluations rated the overall rating of the quality of education offered as “Excellent”
